The much-anticipated 3-Day Mega Youth Conference hosted by Ebenezer Community Church Bulubandi Nandekula Trading Center, Nakigo Road, came to a powerful conclusion on Friday, November 29, 2024. This inspiring event was spearheaded by Pastor Waako Charles and ran daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, culminating in a life-changing overnight session. It brought together youth from all walks of life under the theme, “A Second Chance in the Potter’s Hand,” based on Jeremiah 18.
Highlights of the Conference
The conference featured a series of life-changing sermons delivered by anointed youth preachers who poured wisdom, encouragement, and the Word of God into the attendees. Among the key speakers were:
- Pastor Jamalu from Apostolic Awakening Christian Church Nakalama and the Youth in Unity Chaplain.
- Pastor Bameka Gerald from God’s Power Church and the Head of Intercession and Prayer for Youth in Unity.
- Pastor Mukisa Allan from First Baptist Church Iganga, the Vision Bearer and Adviser for Youth in Unity.
- Pastor Bangi Jonathan from House of Faith Ministries International.
These preachers, alongside others, shared insightful messages, urging attendees to embrace their second chance in God’s hands and grow spiritually.
Praise, Worship, and Performances
The event was alive with Holy Spirit-filled praise and worship, led by various choir teams from Nakigo and the Youth in Unity Choir. These moments of heartfelt worship created an atmosphere for deep connection with God and joyful celebration.
Adding to the excitement were electrifying performances by Gospel artistes such as the B2S Family, Tulina Music, and the Trumpet Voices of Worship, alongside other talented ministers from Iganga and beyond. These acts left everyone inspired and uplifted.

According to Pastor Waako Charles, the conference had a profound impact on the church and community.
“On Sunday, we hosted a large number of new members, especially the youth. Many lives were transformed, and several people gave their lives to Christ. The work of God is moving forward powerfully,” said Pastor Waako.
Each evening, after the conference sessions, the Youth in Unity team engaged the youth in discussions about their challenges. These candid conversations provided practical solutions and strengthened their faith.
